Wow, that top pic is really cool. But I don't think the arms and torso match the sense of action and movement present in the legs. They have so much life and action in them. Awesome job. |

Jenn, great job on both sketches.. i really like how smooth the curves on ur characters are, and nice job showin action on the top one. On the bottom sketch i like the idea of the character, half cat, half bird, and im guessin but is it half kangaroo? looks like u made a line for its pouch and gave it large legs like a kangaroos. anyways i think they turned out very nice.. cya around |

Jenn, with the top pic... it looks like she is pushing off the ground (read: jumping, heh) so you should have her arms bent as if she's skiing.
just a though |

I'm not too crazy about that first sketch...
but I guess from your work it's easy to tell you're into more stylistic/cartoon type than realistic. all the same, for a human it doesn't look right.
lower half too large (long and wide, feet are even larger. if that's forshorteneing, the lower half should be shorter), no hips, thighs are a strange shape (tapers off above the knee too much and too high)...
yadda yadda yadda...
shading's starting to work out in a few of the right places. (calf on the left, inner thigh on the right, his left, etc)
the arms look slightly more normal than the rest.
