How do you guys paint those incredibly smooth gradients with paint- or air-brush.
I have painted smooth surfaces with the burn and dodge tool, but photoshop handles the lightning then because the more you brush the lighter it gets, so thats not top difficult..
But if you brush a gradient on a blue sphere, lit by a red light, how do you do the transition.
I notice that spooge uses brush strokes with same color and thicknes, and it's images are very coherent (and very very good).. but if you take spooges paintstyle, how would you do such a thing..
Hopefully can someone explain to me how do they do this.. like for example : 'how do you paint this rendered ! painting. :
how do you choose colors, where do you begin to paint, how do you do the gradients ?..
Main reason for this thread were the excellent tomato drawing few days ago..

Use the airbrush.
Never use the lame burn&dodge. |
