Howdy folks.
Can somebody please tell me how to add texture or detail? I mean this pic looks somehow too ...ummm... blurry (?) Maybe you can edit my picture and show me how it works right on itself?
Bevor my English totally screws up, I stop here and post it.
So here it is:

u did a great job on the teeth.
i dont know much so dont like do anything i say please. for your own safety
with the style your using (cartoonish)
i dont think there is anyneed for lots of detail. your pic hard to say anything about geez um give it more depth. shade it really dark in shadows. im only just beginning to use better darker tones (it makes it look heaps better believe me). i dont think this will help in any way but itll boost ya to the top so better people can tell u stuff

You might want to try adding another layer on top, set the transfer mode to overlay, "texturize" the layer (from the filter menu) ... and edit to your heart's content |

Use harder lines on the shadows for the eyes and teeth. These objects are wet and smooth so there would be little gradation, but transparent overlapping shapes. You would probably actually get almost a glass like effect on the eyeballs with a lot of reflection. |

I recieved it... it is great!!!!! He looks so bad and ugly. I like that.
Ok, for the others... I'll post it here:
P.S.: Yeah it's my character. I designed him *smiles proudly*.I guess I'll make his fingers longer they look weird to me.Oh, and I noticed that the right arm didn't make it through the afterwards inserted backround...
P.P.S: Can u tell me how you did it? Perhaps even in german?

yes maybe longer fingers with ...ow sh*t what is the word for those transparent boney thingies on the top of the fingers? (my english is still pretty bad)
but my german is worse
***
* hm in the shadows area I added some dark blue...with the brush with low opacity
* I made a new layer on top of the picture
* I set the new layer to multyply
* in the new layer I rendered some clouds
* and played around with them:
Filters/Stylize/Find Edges
Image/Adjust/Curves and BrightnessContrast
* Then I erased some parts of the new layer
* Flatten Image
* then just added details with brush tool and burn/dodge tool
that's it |

Haha, that's a cool character. I think you should throw in some more color, though. Maybe some subtle red or blue here and there, and some sharp highlights to make him look slimy and give him more life. But it's looking cool thus far. |

@Tinusch: Hey, good to see ya around. You sent that pack? I never received... and thanks for the tips, but what do you mean with subtle red? It's quite reddish now... don't you think?
@Jenn: Hehe, you like him? Want to get to know him? Maybe I can introduce him to you...
Oh and by the way... here's the new edition... but I'm not sure bout the saliva in his mouth... please help!

Well, what I meant was, instead of shading a solid orange body, try mixing in some other colors into the body. Make some parts yellowish, some parts with little blue splotches, that sort of thing. Just to give it some color and variety.
Oh, and I have NOT sent the pack yet. Sorry dood... I brought it to the post office and they informed me it would cost about $20 to ship. And seeing as how I have no job, it's taking a little while... Heh, don't worry, it should be out in the next few days. |
