Hey. Heres my second digital painting, Id love to hear everyones comments. I know there are rechnical errors, but i was mostly trying to get a nice night effect, whiel still being able to show a character with some definition. Anyhow.

Well, to get some attention, i decided to trick you with a fancy title. Sorry.

and sorry if its too large. Also. some of my friends said it appeard really dark.. Might be my gamma or something. Anyone know?

Looks fine to me (the gamma).

One thing that's bugging me a little bit though is his left arm, seems a bit wrong for some reason.

Also you might want to change the lighting a bit, the way it is now he's going to get killed fairly quickly, seeing as he's in the light, and the rest of the woods are very dark .

Other than that it's looking very nice.

I like the concept of the pic, but it would cool to have it a bit more dramatic for example.

Don't get so abosrbed in little details, never rely on filters (it looks like u have some blurs, might be just my eyes). In your pic we can't see what your guy is doing though or what he is looking at. Give something to the viewers so they can relate with the tension ur trying to create. Also, u waste a lot of space. I generally think for spy pics it's great to have lots of close up squeezy shots. but that's only somtimes.

hope u find my advice useful!

I TOTALLY agree with Superbug.
Theres way too much useless space in there and the action looks rather simple and flat.
Go for a more dynamic look like Superbug mentionned. If you have a hard time doing that, try doing a couple of thumbnails with a different pose in each. Make the image look a lil more dramatic, and the close-up idea is a good one.

I'd really have to agree with that statement! I really like the idea of the concept...but there just isn't enough information in the piece. We have the guy behind the tree....but why is he behind the tree? What does he fear....why is he defenseive with a knife? Can he defeat whatever he fears with only a knife....is the knife his last resort? These of some of the things we need to answer. Here's a quick idea of what I'm getting at.....

....I did it rather quick and simple....but you get the idea! I didn't change much because I like the concept....but try a few things that makes it more attractive and interesting! Oh and darken it up a bit....I have my monitor really dark because of the games I play....and it's still too light! LuCk!
