Look's a little flat try adding some contrast with orange in warm areas, and blue in cool areas. Nice proportion though and a great pose. |

Nice start.
The hand looks rather large (and somewhat masculine) though.
Put your hand on your face (and be careful that nobody smacks it). If the heel of your palm is at your chin, the tips of your fingers should only reach to about your eyebrows. In your painting, her fingers would extend beyond the top of her forehead.
I also think the ears & hair could use some more light & shadow detail.

Please give some suggestions about this image ~ still working on it!
Give some ideas, perhaps some hair tutorials,
go over the image in your own style, maybe you can add something too it...
i need some help with tones...mainly blending the colours i guess.
my photo reference looks different, which is ok with me, i wouldn't want a photocopy...
anywayz, take a look
the colours aren't as good as my photoshop colours because i worked with a 16bit display
its a 75 resolution image...i really should have done a 200 resolution
i'm only learning this stuff

"you must feel the force in order to use it Obi-Wan..."
the reference i used..bit different, specially the grainy paper look, and the greenish brown colour. Mine looks flat in comparison, how can i light mine correctly to give it a real look?

Thanks for the input guys!
I'll continue working on it, and keep
those points in mind!
I'll slim out the hand a bit, and sleekin the look...also the fingers are a tad bit long, i'll try curving the back end of hand more,
to give it a more *spiritual* (for the lack of a better word) look.
still in progress, i'll post when i've worked on it more

im curious....what is she doing? crying? is water only hitting one side of her face? or did her left eye explode and water is only trickling down one side.....
what basically my problem is, is trying to figure out what is going on in the picture? her face is showing no emotion and yet shes crying or her eye is exploding... or something..... try to tell us a story through the picutre maybe put in a background or give her some emotion so we can get a better idea of what is going on
