Has anyone heard of the artist Phil Hale? I'm very interested in seeing more of his work. I don't know if he has a book out or what. If anybody has any information let me know.

He's a frequent contender in the Spectrum competition. (go to www.budplant.com to search for the books) You'll find several of his works in there.
I recently saw an item on him at Discovery today (I think) where he was doing portraits of people who'd been disfigured by accidents, helping them come to terms with their looks. Interesting to see the dude at work..

Sorry.. dez all I know.. not much apparently.. :/

Wow! What a trip. I was just looking for some of his stuff the other night. If anybody finds any links to a site where they might have some more of his art, in decent sized images, please let me know!

I only know him from some of the art he did for collectable trading card games.

Yes he does have a book. He and Rick Berry did a collaboration and it is called Double Memory. The Full title is called "Double Memory-art and collaborations" I do have the book myself and it kicks @$$. Phil Hale has to be one of the best modern day painters. If you like go check out DCComics.com and look under direct currents and you can find some of the recent comic book stuff that he has been doing. The ISBN number for the book is not for free........HAHA just playing it is 1-880418-05-3 The book is $34.95. If you can also get your hands on the last four Spectrum books, they have a lot of his work in there.

later
