hop.

i did this from a photoreference and not from life so i guess i missed most of the point..
well i learned something at least.
took me quite long to get it even to this stage. uh. i don't feel like finishing it, gotta get the basics down better first.

Looks like your nose is a bit wider in the photo, and the skintones in the painting could use some pink... it does look like you.

btw there's some digiphotos from my round-the-world-trip in the same dir as the ref photo, a couple of them are niceish.
(might even qualify as digital art ;)

hmm the painting looks a bit flat now

hmm, some stupid posting problems just happened. My fault.

anyway, looks very nice eetu !
you have really improved a lot since you first came here ! Agree a bit that the nose has lost a bit of it's shape from the photo, as it looks like your nose has harder shapes on the photo (more bones in it). also, the under part (nostril part)of the nose is a bit flat, which creates a bit of that pig nose feeling

but, hehe, didn't know how to spell it, so it came out much worse than I actually ment, sorry. Because overall it looks very good. Maybe you've made the whole pic a bit to brown and that it has lost a bit of that color variation in the photo.

ok i worked at it a bit more, the nose isn't that f**ked anymore, also tried to get a bit more color in there.

The nose is much better now. Cross-eyeness has disappeared and the skin has some blood flowing through. Great.

I'm not sure but eyes might be a tad too small compared to the photo...

Big change , u get closer.
Maybe if u add some highlites to your eyes , could be more life like,but not to much...just try it.
