A coworker of mine named Mick Buckmiller, "TheDeliriousOne," is supposedly working on an animation involving a bounty hunter, a bounty huntee, a dragon, an epic dogfight between two space ships (one of which I posted a while back), an army of ninjas, a robot or two, the Titanic, and two kids. This sketch is for that project.

Definitly worth the wait Francis I like that eye piece. The whole thing is clean and simple. Very nice.

Do you use any drawing aids (curves, templates, etc) when drawing or is it all freehand?

Hmm.......looks a bit too much like gray fox to me, just the eyepiece, but its cool. The 'one eye' eye piece is kinda gettin old though u know...how about 20 eyes!

Very nice Francis. But the strap/clip in his midchest seems out of perspective while the rest seems rather intact, so is the mid-forehead details. Hmm, Hope you don't mind -- I couldn't do such good work so I'll shut now.
=)

EDIT: Oh and it's just a concept sketch... so I guess what I just said isn't very appropriate. Sorry. =) Good design work!

Your style keeps amazing me. There's a hint of Yukito Kishiro in it that i really enjoy.

"But Mike, this is amazing! this is the best invention since free teenie-porn!"

Rinaldo - Thanks! Freehand.
Superbug - I'll do 20 eyes on the next guy. Who is Gray Fox?
Frost - Those are perfectly viable critiques; it's not very well laid out since I was sort of designing it on the fly. This guy is a work in progress.
Napalm - All Prismacolor marker, some white Photoshop highlights, since I didn't have any white pencil or paint handy. I guess that's sorta cheating... ANd it's not NDA - just an extracurricular project I'm collaborating on with a coworker.
Jenn - Thanks, I will.
Viridae - Thank you too.
Spitfire - Cool! That's a compliment.

beautiful.

You used grey markers?
Do you use something separate for highlights or do you just plan it out well before rendering?

Francis,

Slick, as usual. I like the head and eye-piece. If I may ask, is this character
an android type or is it bodyarmor?
Thanks!

Ah... you say Bounty Hunter and I go off looking for the DeliriousOne to see if he works for NST (Nintendo). Man, I gotta lay off the Metroid obsessing :P (never!)

Looks good Francis. I'm gonna have to get me a couple markers-it just looks like too much fun sketching with them. What shades would you recommend(I'll only need two or three at most-just for myself)?

looks nice Francis, as usual
Btw, looks like you've used water-colour and not markers on this one. Is that right ? Or just the black in the background ?

Nice one Francis! No critique available at this time...

Oh, and I think there are still a couple of white Prisma pencils in the supply drawer.

It looks like it to me, although I don't see that touch of purple in the deep background like you normally would.
