Life can be cruel sometimes, Bindah. Truth may seem close at times, but most of the time it's very far away and out of your reach.
At a young age, us humans have the ability to learn to talk, but it's even harder to learn to keep your mouth shut. Think about that. I mean it . |

I somehow always get amazed at how, uhm, "special", certain people may be although I've been exposed to all sorts of "special people" in my life.
Binder: If you had spent 2 minutes looking around www.sijun.com, which by the way a normal person would do if he were really researching something, you could have gotten an answer to that all by yourself... I think... |

I'm with you on that one Frost. I don't think anyone's to blame really. We just need a better way of initialy informing people and making all of that basic stuff that is the subject of repeat Qs easily accesable.
Common sense is all we have at the moment.
Binder- You didn't eloborate as to which one of the two possible questions you were actuilay asking. Try to explain things better. maybe save this sort of Q for your next image post or something and combine the two. It's not like you'll die if it goes unanswered for a while.
This sort of thing is what will make strict rules and moderators necessary. |

Who's more stupid, Binder, someone who tries to write something rational, OR someone who has the word DICK twice in his signature? Please. Think more, and keep quiet. |

Binder. Get over yourself. You should bother looking around and figuring stuff out rather than making a moron of yourself.
Stupidity shall not be tolerated.

Hmm... this thread went a bit too harsh for the subject. I mean, we're not all Einstein, and it has been asked before. Shhh now children. |

At the risk of making most of my recent posts repies to binder, I'd just like to set straight something said by ceenda pretty early on. Yeah, I asked this question a while back, in Random Musings (where this stuff should be), so here's the link.
Questions answered.

In binders defence, most names have some sort of meaning to them. For example my name is Sean which is Irish Gaelic for John, and John means to be strong. So when he asked that question he probably of actually meant the literal meaning of the name dhabih, which I don't know an I doubt very many people here if any know.
As for sijun, I've looked at the page where dhabih talks about him self and I've searched through the old Commentaries for any hints as to what it means, where it came from and why dhabih chose it for his domain name. I found nothing to answer any of those questions.
So any ways I don't think binder's question is dumb and the only the only things he is guilty of are wording his question poorly and posting it here instead of in random musings.

Okay, from what I recall, Sijun is apparently derived from Sigh June. Apparently a name that was given to Dhabih by one of his relatives. This was mentioned in a thread posted by JayBee in the Random Musings forum. |

'Sijun' (45 second search): http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000137.html
I suppose I might have been a bit harsh. Newbies (not that I have ANYTHING against them, on the contrary they are welcome to come in and learn along with everyone) should know better than to just post anything and everything that comes to their minds -- it just gets annoying after a while. Just my 2 cents.
EDIT:
Actually, let me elaborate on that. If newbies keep posting new threads about why the sky is blue, and new threads as such are created over 10 times a day, it creates a lot of really really useless threads to read up on, a lot of which turn into flame threads. Now with all these threads being created from the novice who don't know how this board operates, people like me and MANY others who have been here a while don't want to deal with this bull, so we start filtering what threads to read and not to read base on who posted it, which eventually leads to the total ignorance of that newbie because he posts nonesense.
This is bad because I like to read as many threads as possible both for my learning experience and also to give out comments and help whenever I can or feel it's appropriate. By filtering threads, you might end up missing something you would have liked to read up on, or maybe this newbie actually posted someting PERTINENT for once, and is actually not being responded to because people just ignore him because he's always posted nonesense in the past.
If people would understand to keep threads to a minimum, it would first be easier to know where we stand, threads wouldn't be bumped on page 3 in one day, and we wouldn't have to filter through threads of useless "Look at me I need attention so I'll start this thread" junk.
End of rant. My sincere apologies if I offended people, but I felt it needed to be said and that I'm sure the feelings are shared by many others.
In brief: Welcome to newbies, but keep it pertinent to digital art and SHOW REAL EFFORT.
