Hey everyone, This is my charatcer that im designing for my final portfolio piece...i'd like him to be:
-scared
-timid
-doesnt belong (where-ever that might be)
-a lil' geeky

Tell me about the charatcer design, the inking quality, the tonal selection (ignore color...i havent chosen a color scheme)
So guys...gimmie my critique plz This is my portfolio animation and it has to r00l the world or else i people will pay attention to my bad charatcer and miss my soon-to-be-painted lovely backgrounds for the animation (which will be the focus)

Since, you are in school, did you ever hear of "on-model" and "off-model", cause my critique is that you should focus on that, there are some inconsistencies in your charac, it doesn't show acroos the variations. And as far as your rendering stick with basic flat colors, before you try to get into shadows on the form. It will be much easier in the end product.

if your looking for timid and out of place, make the general flow the oppisite direction, so he's huddled and worried.

Whoah, tho I didnt start this thread, thanks for the link Nomadik! I've been looking for some of these basic animation lessons for some time. I'm looking to make an honest attempt at making a short animation sometime soon. Still need to build my light box tho!

thx for the link
ummm? the charatcer changes cuz it's an evolution process, they arent supposed to look the same, they're su[pposed to be all different attempts moving from left to right, right being the most recent.
