Really nice Boomstick! One of the best pieces I've seen from you.. Nice take on the selfportrait-craze which seems to be going on these days..

Hey by the way, how did it go at the San Diego comic-con? I know you were going to try and show your folio there, so I was wondering if you had any luck over there..

Anyway, keep up the good work

-Christer

Awesome imagery.

Wow... if I see another cool self-portrait like this... I'll be forced to do one too. Keep it coming Boomer! Your articulation in the ears and hair shadowing... well, you got it right on

I was looking at the way the straw reflects in the liquid and I wondered where the red stripes were (hmm, they wouldn't be red anymore as a reflection, eh?) and I was wondering why the smaller bend of the straw reflected the wrong way (to the left instead of to the right... I know, I know, I was having a brain anuerism too trying to model the reflection in my mind. Smoke was rising off of my forehead after reaching this conclusion.. and that was that the brain is not good enough to calculate ray-tracing without a heat sink and a fan.)

I think we all want to know the make of the liquid (oil, sludge??) you are floating in

Joachim - this picture was painted with a picture of me in a swimming pool (no! I won't post the pic!) as reference. I had to change the ligning to fit the more muddy waters and add the straw. The composition is my invention also...

Chapel & Svanur- hehe.. Infact I had the same thought when I uploaded this piece..

micke - thanks. I haven't started my next painting yet even though I have 15-20 skethces just waiting....

Christer - thanks. Yeah I did want to do something different with this selfportrait thing. Glad you appreciate it... My trip to sandiego was way beyond cool. I didn't get any jobs right away, but loads of contacts. Next year I hope to attend Gen-con which should be more sci-fi/fantasy based..

Sergenth - thanks. Yeah! the red strips are missing. Gotta do those before print. maybe even fix up on the reflection. very observant!

Dhabih - hehe thanks, Actually it did get wet..but not buy water as you might think but by mokka. Too much mokka....

Dryfire - Dr. evil...no havent' heard that one before

Loki - thank you so much. This one doesn't stinks???

thanks to you all for replying...it feels good

That's excellent! Only the hair strikes me as a bit stiff, but great job on the whole - I love the colors, and the simple graphic shapes of the water next to the realistic roundness of the face...

Chapel - Well... Im working freelance on various projects at the time - illustration, effectsanimation for a tvshow and animations and design for a museum here in Copenhagen...pretty much different stuff, which is cool! I went to Sandiego to try and get some cover work.

Sfr - Thanks man Yeah, I dont think I did an overly great job on the hair myself, but I really didn't wanna spend too much time on it. this took around 4 hours or so..
