Paint Shop Pro uses those tabs for a lot of things, personally, I think they take up more space. It especially sucks when you have a smaller monitor.

Where did you get that screen from?

Have they changed the Brushes pallette so you can still have it on screen at all times? (like in previous versions) I saw a beta of it and you had to go into the menu to change your brushes. I was NOT happy with that.

if u notice the new bar directly below file, edit, image, layer, ect...
thats the bar where the options from whatever tool u have selected will go.. for paintbrush it will be brushes for the marque tool its got the diffrent types of selections...

the big greay space directly above where the window tabs like navigator, color, history,.. all those tabs can be dragged to that small grey space and can be used quickly instead of using the hotkeys for hiding and unhiding the windows on n off

btw i personally think this thread deserves to be in the random musings.. but thats my opinion
