Whoa. Damn. Whoa.
Your work reminds me a lot of Danny's work. Both in style and subject matter. hehehe.
Is it all airbrush?
What were the basic steps you took?
Please enlighten me. hehehe

b] Pose makes her look like she is going to pee

I guess there's a huge spotlight on her from the front/left(her left)? I'll assume so. Try to sharpen it up. It looks too "Photoshop," if you get my meaning. Her toes seem a bit crazy too. Pretty nice rendering overall, but those things could use works(and I'd prefer it if there weren't a huge spotlight in front of her-it would actually be much more sensuous to be back lit. Cloth her in a veil of darkness(not black of course-just shadow) and you'll find she becomes much more interesting. Hope it helps!

Hey thanks alot guys for the comments. Really appreciate it. Now to answer a few questions, No I can't post any sketches cause this one was all done in photoshop, plus my scanner's broken I think I'm the only person on these fourms who draws the way I do, the hair is the only thing in the picture drawn with a tablet, the rest is all done with the mouse. All I do is draw the outline of whatever I'm doing, then just color it with one color and start shading, thats it. As for hair I just throw a bunch of streaks together and hope it looks alright, I don't know what the hell I'm doing, obviously. Just a 15 year old kid with too much time on his hands Oh and Jenn, thats the idea, her boobs aren't supposed to be real, she paid quite a bit for them I assume. Also, I wanted her to be lit up, thats just what I was going for

Not that I'm a master on anatomy or anything, but the pic does have a lot of flaws that grab my attention.
Starting from the top and working down, her nose is VERY long, her shoulders seem to be hunched in a bit too much (models generally tend to have good posture, which means shoulders stay back, I realize that she is *cradling* her breasts a bit, but I don't think it would account for that much of a hunched in look around the shoulders). She needs a bit more definition around the base of the neck IMO (not much, but a little bit more would help give her some form). The nipples seem to be pointing a little bit too *head on* at the viewer and her left breast seems to have too much of a clear cut line where it uh.. attaches to the chest. The third and fourth fingers of her hand seem to be a bit too straight and dont quite look natural. Her left elbow is a bit too high (the elbow should be roughly the same height as the bottom of the rib cage).
Next we come to the abdominal region, generally when someone is uh, squating like that, the lower back has a lot more arch to it to help maintain a better center of ballance over the feet. That arch in the lower back would throw her shoulders and upper back away from us a bit, then her upper abdominal reagion would be a bit closer, and then her butt would be thrust back away from the viewer a bit more..
Her right forearm and hand are too chubby. The same goes for her legs, they need a bit more definition worked in, and the skin tones aren't quite as good as they are in the upper body. The legs also look a bit out of perspective, her left leg especially, some foreshortening work would really help out with the legs. And as mentioned before, the feet also need a little work.
Basically it just seems like you put a lot of time into the upper body, and then rushed through the rest.
On a lighter note, the pic has some great texture in it, the hair looks great, as well as the eyes and eyebrows. The skin on the upper body looks pretty good too. The sky is awesome, very realistic, makes me wonder if its not a photo manipulation? the mountains, and water are well done too. I love the texture you have going in the sand as well, although it looks a bit too much like one cohesive object with a sandy texture, than actual sand, seems to lack a bit of granularity.. er somethin.
Hope I wasn't too harsh or anything, I usually try not to crit other peoples stuff here because I've done very little digital work so far, but your pic shows a lot of potential and I just wanted to offer a little bit of constructive criticism about the points that I thought could use a little work in this, or future, pics.
Oh, and if anybody finds any mistakes in the anatomy points I mentioned, don't hesitate to point em out, as I said before, I am by no means an expert on anatomy..
Hope this stuff helps out a bit deathgrip |

I'm skeptical for some reason...
I don't know, it's just the pose and almost how real it looks except for certain parts of the body. The face doesn't look as detailed or textured as well as her other parts.
Do you have any other art? Any posts I missed or something?

i agree with loki and Jenn, the breast really bugs me, course they are fake, but they look too fake (even to be impants) shrug hahah i dunno
to me they look like coconuts, cut in half and she just pulled skin over it.. cause the upper protion if flat anf then they just curve out like BAM.. well ive seen my fair shair of naked women.. (thanks to the net haha) and uhh yeah i use em to study :P
none dont look like that.. and of course the majority of the "real" pictures i look at.. are fake on them girls :P haha

YEAH! NAKED WOMEN!!!!!! LOL
I have to say, those are some damned fine nipples. Really. You know how Disney finally put nipples on that guy in Mulan, and they were just these precious little dots of brown? Oh, excuse me, ellipses. Yeah, well yours are nothing like that.
It's good. The breasts, sure, skin pulled taut over coconuts, but the legs are great, too.
The pose. Hee hee hee. A line from the Simpsons comes to mind.
"What is your obsession with my forbidden closet of mystery???"
A google applause type sounds.
Wee!

I'd touch her! maybe thats just cause I drew her but still...although I was going for that shiney sorta look, I wanted it to look like it was from photoshop, not an actual picture...as for the breasts, I know, I know, they look just a bit too fake, maybe I should make em a little lopsided or something, LOL. But I'm done with this one, on to the next! |

DUDE. That's my sister. Okay, so *what* if she's into alternative film making!?! And yes, she did pay a pretty penny for her boobs. She opted for them instead of a college education.
Oh..and you forgot to put in the needle marks on her arms due to her heroine addiction as well as the seeping infection that'd inevitably being oozing out of those hotpants. But maybe artistic license applies here, I'm not sure.
Either way, you do my sister proud. |

Hey there... Nice chick and well done also.
I really don't have any comments than haven't been said already. Only thing would be that since you paid so much attention to the girl, it just pops into my eye how little attention you put into the background. The sky looks really nice, but from the mountains and down it just get worse and worse. THe rocks look really flat. the sea lacks perspective (the waves have the same length between them) and the sand is quite uninspirering.
The shading on the girl however is very nice even though blurry at places.
The picture as a hole is quite boring (very 80's in the bad kind of way). The girl on a flat background would have been more appealing I would think....Just thinking aloud... Keep it more graphic! Try and look up some books by Haijme Sorayama.
keep it up! this IS a very nice piece.

Good work. The rich golden tone of the picture is good, as is the amount of work gone into the face and hair. I won't make any criticisms as they've already been stated but nice work all the same. |

I checked your other image and it's a confirmation of what I was saying. The 2 pictures are not done by the same person, or the last one was made using some kind of trick like painting over a photo or painting over another painting. Maybe I'm wrong. Can you tell me if you use any reference? and post the reference? Can you show some skecthes? Can u post something else, even doodles?
Just to be sure you're not a Binder |
