Although I've been sick, I've managed to whip out a few pics in the last couple of days. Comments mucho appreciated.
Here we have a Terror Bird with some horns attached to it. And wings, too... not to mention a tail. I'm not too satisfied with it's head :[
This is a hmm, birdwalker of some kind. I'm not quite sure how these things breed, so let's just assume they don't.
Tried to do what klaivu does with his pencil (the whole head is somewhat borrowed from a scribble he made in a class).
Have a nice day

verrry cool creature design (esp. in the birdwalker pic)

The second concept is fantastic! Very original. Remindes me of that alien from aeon flux, the one that guarded the eggs in the ship.

I tried to come up with another pic today, but I guess it can't be forced... thanks for the comments, everyone. hehe. I wish I knew some 3d, I can already picture the bird walking around catching lizards hiding underneath rocks.
Hehe, Nex, feel free to demonstrate, I'm sure those arm-like extensions on their back have something to do with it :].
The birdwalker must be grateful for not existing... It would most likely be the laughing stock of the whole of the Sahara desert, and there are camels in Sahara, remember?
Evolution vice, the neck must've gradually shortened and the head (pulling the rib cage with it) has started to penetrate the whole torso traveling amongst the internal organs and finally popped out from the top of the tail.. somewhere in the middle the blinded and headless species was about to be extinct, but hey, it made it.
Off to bed.

Cool stuff, especially the birdwalker, it's really clean and atmospheric - somehow reminds me of micke, in fact (his painting style, not his appearance ). You've improved a great deal since the first stuff you posted here, if I remember correctly... keep it up, it's lovely!

Haha, I'm sure the birdwalker doesn't have too much resemblance with micke (*checks the portrait thread*)... thanks for the comparison though, micke is quite an artist.
the improvement you may see, I think has come with my growing patience towards each pic. Makes for better planned shapes. Practice has its impact as well, I'm sure. Thanks sili and saff!
