I checked out your website and on september 3 news you dispayed that dhabih image that you DIDN`T make ( I don`t think the little you done to it count as anything.) and you put this text under it, I quote: "..check out this tight ass picture i made.."
I think you`r telling people the wrong this. Try putting this text instead "..check out this tight ass picture Dhabih made and I edit it.."

Well, the sketch is far better than the colouring, but the reason's obvious, isn't it? How about not taking sketches made by others - in this case, Alan Tew of beeba.net - and calling them your own?

Oh, as for the Dhabih pic you took, if it was an honest mistake (Oh, please), why'd you edit the pic like that? You messed up the lighting and removed about half of the image, and then constructed parts of the big head to make more of it visible. Sounds to me like you're just trying to cover up your tracks here. "Look at this cool pic I made.. Oh, sorry, I mean found. Hehe. Yeah, that's it. Nevermind the way it's nowhere near as good as the original, I honestly thought I was doing the creator a favour by 'improving' his work"

i never said that i drew any of this shit, i love his art, and i even wrote him, hes a cool guy, anyway yeah it may have seemed like i was saying i drew them but nowhere did i say i drew them, sorry for the way i write its just all in my head, i personally like the coloring i did to this beautiful scetch, he is susposed to be a fat lazy guy sittin in front of the tv smokin a cig.

Well, unless you have permission to use his work, you're violating Tew's copyright. It would be acceptable to colour some sketches for practice, but to edit one and use it as your splash image without giving any credit to the original author... Well, that's not acceptable. Ask Tew if he minds, and if it's OK, and then give him credit on the page, hm? As for this: "i never said that i drew any of this shit" - think about it a little. Of course we assume you drew it all if you don't say someone else did the sketch. Sheesh. And that still doesn't explain why you edited Dhabihs painting like that. That, too, is quite unauthorized, I'm sure.

You are 0 for 2 Binder. I can't believe you just did that bad job of coloring Tew's pic and then you actually signed it in the corner. I've tried to actually get Alan to come contribute to the forum, but if he sees junk like this he will want nothing to do with us. By the way.. using dodge/burn tools does not make painter or colorists for that matter.

Maybe you dont know this but your coming across as a complete arsehole, and from looking at your site, its made me think that you are. I cant believe you just ripped that image, and then I cant believe you signed it, but to top it off, you plug it here, where your obviously going to be caught out.

Why do some people always try to take a shortcut to 'fame'??? Doesn't work that way. Now everyone thinks you're a dick.

Let me tell you what usually happens when people do this on this forum:

* first they proudly post 'their' work

* they get found out

* they deny it, make an excuse

* people don't believe them, pound them even harder

* they disappear ...

what I recommend you should do in my humble opinion is the following:

Admit it & apologize. Let people find out, that you're not a 'bad guy'.
Then, do some paintings yourself, or, if you're taking somebody else's sketch, credit them.
Post YOUR stuff here, and we'll check it out, comment on it, help you getting better.
People might forget your messy entry in this forum ...

Well, I don't think you'll go for it, but give it a try ... it'll be worth it ...

what the hell is all your problams, i dont have experience with digital art, all i do is sketch, and well i thought i would try something else for once, and i just wanted some advice but all of you had to be jerks about it, thanks for telling me how much you liked my page, why the fuck are u guys being so crude, yes he sketched that picture thats all, i signed it because i colored it, and i think i did it quit well to. ive shown many critics already and they said it was really good.

If you use other peoples iamges on your site. I dont think I want people like you on this forum. I have no respect for you. I respect everyone else on this forum. All the ones who go buy copyright laws. Which as soon as an image is created it is copyrighted. Any changes made to the image can get you sued. I dont care if you emailed him. The 2 images that are on my domain [they are unlinked] I got permission to color them from the person who drew them. You have no right to do so without permission and certainly not to use them on your site. If you dont care what the people on this forum think.. Then to put it simply. FUCK OFF.
Sorry if this offends anyone else but binder has seriously pissed me off.

This isn't your "art" Binder. Whoever sketched that piece, obviously is the author of it. You coloring it doesn't make it any more "your" creation than the person who took the effort to create it. If you want a coloring book, I suggest you A: Stay inside the lines, and B: Go to K-Mart where they're selling them for back-to-school shit. You probably won't be accused of ripping people off that way.

I dont want to jump all over you or anything, but I do want to let you know that its important to give the author of a sketch his due credit, and yourself credit as well as the colorist. Check out the thread I posted awhile back with one of my OWN colorized pictures, drawn by the awesome Sam Liu.

I think this would be an excellent example of the correct way to post a colorization.

I hope EVEN STILL that this doesnt end in you leaving the forum, though that might be too late.

Please, try to produce some original stuff, even if its just with a mouse, since your scanner isnt working, and let us see the great artist that YOU know you can be.

Ok, there's nothing wrong with praticing coloring. But putting a signature on it, use it as a splash page and say that you made it is a different thing. If you're keep doing this, your skill will move very slowly.

I draw my own pics. I color my own pics. If I ever want to color someone elses I ask them first and I dont say its mine or post online.
