Alex Ross kicks ass! I am a big fan, thank you Loki for bringing him into the light. I have a TPB "Kingdom Come" which was illusrated by Ross, perhaps I will scan in some pics as soon as my scanner works.

Crazy!!! there's stuff on here that actually looks different. I must have been seeing th same work over and over again or something. thanks Loki.
Please tell me they're not using that Spider-man Costume design, though. It reminds me of the live action spiderman T.V. thing they did (with those bulbous black eyes) |

Sure Alex Ross can paint and draw. But does this man have a problem with panel layout and storytelling or what?!?

Damn.. first someone posts a link to Alan Tew and now Alex Ross. My secret links are finding their way to the forum. Well since its here.. check this link out Loki (and everyone else). Its a extremely slow site, but it has more of Alex Ross's work on there than his own site.

here's my lousy attempt after being inspired by his stuff... he rocks, I suck.
EDIT: forgot to mention... he's deformed and gay. =)

Frost - thats pretty neat! You gotta tighten this one up! plz!
I think the light in the mask around his right eye is too bright. It takes too much focus from his left eye where my attention really wants to be. Also I do think you made the shadows a litte to flat (which is a problem I also have).
But I really like it. Tighten it up and it'll be striking!

Loki: I have nothing to teach you dear friend. =) Besides, drawing ugly gay men isn't an "IN" thing... hehe Just look at Alex's work... it speaks for itself, although I find he keeps using the same lighting setup all the time... makes me wonder...
Chapel: I meant to say thanks for your link.. it does have LOTS of his images... too much in fact to leech in one sitting without getting nauseous... =)
