I am not quite sure about this.

It was pretty easy to do and really screams "cheap tricks"..

It would be great to know how it looks to you guys.. (did not work on details here so just the general look is what I was interrested in)

Nice. If I could draw this well I would be proud of what my mind tells my hands to do.

Tho I do think that you should make him have a staff and look slightly tired. Maybe leaning over a little.. And wind in his cloak. It looks to .. deadish.. Like its not really alive.. to static

Thats my 10c..
Hope this helps

Maybe the grass slightly swayed leaves in the air.. and alittle more orange/ yellow in the sky.

Wow. Looks GRrrreeat. I love it.

The only comment I have is about the foreground. Using straight black looks kinda unreal to me. I like how the impressionists did things. (I read this somewhere) They never liked to use pure black, but to use a really dark shade of a color. I think i read that Pure black never appears in reality. There is always a little color somewhere. Although if your looking for style. black might give more of a punchy efffect. Anyways. Its always your call.

I love the composition BTW. very well done

Most of the forground is completely black, although around the internal edges the yellow glow does overlap slightly. Even sillhouettes in a scene like this should have color. Also, certain leaves and grass blades, as well as the monk's cloak, are transluecent, so they would show up. Also, the monk's hood is too wide-it goes straight from the top of his head down to the sides of his shoulders. Otherwise it's a nice concept, and the background is very pretty. I think clouds blocking the sun should be more illuminated, brighter. And that's coming from a fellow Bright-Monitor Brother.
