I made this one after i found out this morning that secretly the autumn had set in 19 days too early. It's accompanied by a poem i decided not to incorporate into the wallpaper because it would disturb the balance.

And yes, i know it's cliche to be inspired by the fall - dont i deserve my 15 mins of depression?

The text accompanying the wallpaper is online as well now. HTML-transcript under the imageversion.

I really love it. Its got a lot of feeling to it.

A few questions out of interrest if you will:

Q: What do you start with on your wallpapers? A basic theme/emotion?

Q: Are the images you use (c) by you or are they pictures from the web?

Q: Do you work commercial/for money? I ask this because you make some of the most interresting wallpapers I have seen on the web yet and I am sure there are ways for you to channel that output in a way that gets you money. (CD covers and stuff)

Nex, thanks for the kind words. About your questions :

I can start with various things. In this case, its a poem i wrote. In another it might be a song, in the next one it might be a weird object i scanned. As long as it inspires me, i can work with it.

Everything used in my work is copyright by me. Including photography, unless otherwise indicated. Most of my materials i work with are scans of things i find in and around the house - this ensures a personal feel and a bit of originality.

I do work on a commerical level, but mainly in the webdesign atmosphere. I also do (limited) free work for bands/people involved in the DIY principle IE not making money with your efforts. These mostly include CD-covers, stickers, flyers and websites as well.

Example commercial work for big client : www.referentietoets.nl | Example free work for DIY client : www.sedative.org/henceforth

That looks very pretty, the level of graininess and the brown tones are just perfect for the mood, not too overdone... It reminds me of the Magnolia movie poster, but that might have something to do with the flower and the strong white-on-black text
