I remember spooge did a picture of the Baron Harkonnen recently, so tonight I did a pic of Duke Leto. I hope you like it.

I've uploaded a version without the buildings.
I really wish I hadn't put this pic up now. It's dreadful.

Hey, I think it's great. Personally, I loved the buildings, and how they faded off into the distance. Gave the pic more depth. I wouldn't say the coat is stiff, though. The collar is supposed to stand up like that. I think the pic looks great. |

Yeah I didn't think it was that bad either. (didn't get to see the first one tho). Don't be so harsh on yourself ceenda. Your stuff is often really good. I like the way you've managed to use the airbrush look without making it all fuzzy. (traditional airbrush skillz comeing through?)
I like anyway....even if you dont |

Tinusch, Rinaldo, Spitfire - thanks for the comments!
I decided to redo the background completely and give Leto some highlights.

He he, thanks Rinaldo! Are you noticing a pattern here? It's nearly always the clouds I skim over and end up doing again later... |

Wow, that's great. Just maybe add a few stray hairs so he doesn't look like he's wearing a helmet... But wow, the atmosphere in this pic is way better. |

Very cool. Reminds me of something I might see in a dream, or some sort of occult image or something. The darkened eyes are especially creepy. Sorry I don't have any real constructive criticism, I just like the image.

I thought the first version was good but the change of background and highlights helps to make the image more dynamic.
I think some highlights added to the beard would help as it looks as though it's blending in with the sea. |
