Nice, but you need to double check your anatomy. Both legs are on the same plane, yet her left leg is waaay longer than her right. They are both kinda big for her body also. Either that or you made the arms too small compared to the head. (which is big, but not big enough for those legs) Am I making sense?

Her left leg is kinda bent inwards, that's why her left thigh is longer....
On the other word, her right leg is more fore-shortened..

It kinda looks to me like her left leg is bigger, too. The foreshortening would probably look a bit more convincing if her right knee wasn't smaller than her left.

Otherwise I really like the picture, and can't wait to see it colored.

I was wrong. The legs are right. Its the arms that are incorrect. I marked them off to show you.

The top half of the arm should be one and a half the heads length.
The bottom half should be twice the size head with the fingers extended.

The reason her right leg looks shorter is because her left hand is over lapping her knee. With the arms misproportioned it give a false illusion.

Edit: by the way her right arm is longer than her left.

Go the manga

I see some wierd shit in a lot of manga stuff, so I tend to disreguard a lot of anatomy probs. What chapel is saying is right tho (although I would think that head size in manga was a bit of a waste of time

).
If the left leg's knee was further forward then it would look a bit like forshortening. or if the right leg's foot was forward more it would look better.

The thing I like about it most is that there are no guns or otherwise violent objects. *nice relaxing sigh* just a nice picture

good job on the hands btw.

Chapel : soo.. you r sayin that her arms are too short? cuz an arm is supposed to be made up of um.. 3 1/2 heads? n hers only hav 3... hmm ..

but i traced her and started colourin her already!! hm.. nvm then..

I like your sketch. Nice proportions, etc...maybe her eyes are a bit to hypnotizing and evil though, since she got that cute hat and all

And I think she could have had a bit bigger head or smaller shoulders, to make make her more feminin in proportions.

Chapel is probably right, if you really should go by the book. But, those rules are ment to be broken. Not every human has exactly the same proportions and length, it's nice to have such rules in mind while drawing, but if you end up lining up everything all the time, characters will all end up like crash test dummies..people are different. Just my opinion. And infact, I personally didn't react much on that arm length.

Yeah, break the rules...

I think I like to draw manga semi-realistic... that's why I don't draw big heads and small shoulders... you read I"S before?

The only reason I mentioned the arm thing is because that is what made me think the legs are too big. They still use proportions in Manga to an extent. If they have long legs.. then they usually have long arms. big feet.. big hands. In this pic it looks like you are going for a realistic pose, but it doesn't quite work with the way she is drawn. I'm no expert though... but I keep the measurements in mind as a starting ground and for consistency. But this is all just my opinion.. draw how you want to.

It maybe just me but, it looks like she could use a bucket o' flowers next to her.? Isn't that a flower on her hat? :-\ maybe its just me...

Interesting X plague, i just got a coupla problems since i draw manga a lot, clothjes and all seem right, its just her face. I dunno, there are many different types of manga noses, u know? I think another type would suit her. Her ears looks to far high and her mlips need a bit more umph. but nice overal look

Incidentally, nice job coloring it. I have a hard enough time getting 2 or 3 colors to work well together, but she's a veritable rainbow of fruity flavors, and it all works. Good job.
