I think it's looking better.
Anyone see anything that desparately needs fixing? Hmm... I just noticed her shoulder pads look a bit mucky. Ok, so anything besides that? Lighting? Composition? Anyone dig her snazzy new cape? Is it too dark? Blah. Time to stop rambling. |

Hmm. Damn. I just looked at it again... does it look to anyone else like she has a pot belly? Bah. Sleepy time. I fix tomorrow. |

waylon;
I like it overall. But I think you need to make the shadows more distinct, especially on the top half of her torso and her face; it looks almost like her skin is luminescent, since those big shoulder pads and that armor aren't casting any shadows on her body.
Looks good; the face looks a little like my sister.

Yeah it does look like a pot belly. Here are some tips. If you add more definition in the cleavage and stomach area it may help. Also, the way her armo wraps around her and being thick it gives the illusion that she has no figure. Look at the armor near her left arm to know what I mean. Plus without the definition on her stomach area the way the armor curves above her tummy and how her "skirt" curves down... looks like a big tummy. |

Hey waylon. Lookin good
I thought she had a pot belly from the start. I kinda liked it. A bit frazetta in a way. not all supa model if you know what I mean
Ok crits:
I would add a couple of highlights to the hair to liven it up a bit. Clean up the ear and surounding hair a tad (can't really se it from here but anyway).
Her sword arm still looks a bit funky to me. A bit to unstructured. think of the bones in there.
The sword is also a bit wobbly. make a path in the shape you want and then fill it with white and stroke it with the airbrush a bit (if you haven't already done it this way).
Kewl shtuf my friend
You must have a lot of patience. I'm way too lazy to fix up the problems in my pics. Good thing to be able to do.

Thanks for the tips, everyon!
Mozeman: Her skin IS supposed to be somewhat luminescent. Of course, if it just looks like I don't know how to draw shadows, I guess the effect is ruined... I'll play with it a bit.
Chapel: I sort of see what you're saying. I guess I could stand to add a litttle more form to the armor.
Rinaldo: As always, thanks for the tips. I was just sort of being lazy with the hair and the arm... but I guess I probably can't get away with that here, now can I? Hopefully I'll get a chance to finish it all up... one more night 'till I have to leave for Coma 2!
Anything else I should look at? Last chance! |

Ok, here it is, the final version that I'm entering in the GFX compo at Coma 2. I fixed what I could, but now I'm officially out of time. Thanks for all the great advice and inspiration, everyone. Wish me luck at the compo! |

because her skincolour is white and you painted all parts on 1 layer(right?) the white kinda of goes a little over more then its supposed to. and especially at her tummy thats interviening with her panties(uhh...). maybe you could darken around the edges were her skin is to make it look better(or sumthing like that) and you could try making the planet dark/simplified if your aiming for a drawn look on the whole...
oh yeah the shiny white sword is SO cool
oh blah, outta time? oops... |
