Yea... Um does anyone know of any good reference material I could use for this pic?

I remember seeing this photographers website.. ages and ages ago... HE had a whole set of photos on a homeless man.. Some really nice photographs... Black and white.. HE was very rough and he had a huge bushy beard... I can barely remember much... but basicaly I just want a couple of photos of eaiher old and or homless people..

Thanks for you help...

One place to look for reference material of real-life people (as opposed to fashion magazine people) is National Geographic magazine. These books are a goldmine of images. Just go down to your library and browse through the back issues, you're sure to find some homeless and/or down-and-out men.

I bought a large stack of them from a book sale for $5 once.. best investment ever, these images are /great/ for collage.

(/me cringes in fear that this board doesn't beleive in collage art)

Sorry, Hugh, I don't really know anything that would be of help. You might have to strike a pose yourself. What is everyone else doing?
You're pretty lucky. Your subject sounds cool. And it has to be a drawing? My art teacher hates drawing! She hates everything that sijun.com preaches (well, not really preaches, but you get the gist). She doesn't like the technical side of art! I hate it! Arrrgh! We get projects where we have to "collect sticks and other objects. Express how they represent your community" I'm like "WTF??"
Are you doing art for year 11 and 12? I don't know if it's just my school, but art sucks at the moment.

Thanx Extra Lobe Jason..

Jason we do all different stuff... We get a weekly homework drawing and a given subject... this one is "Down and out" You can pretty much do what you want.. My teacher accepts digital stuff to which I think is cool.. But I dont have a great printer well Its ok but I dont have any decent paper for it.. Anyway.. We've been able to choose a class topic each week for the last 5 weeks or so which is cool Previous topics were "Battle it out" umm "Wildie Beastie" ,, "Victory and Defeat" "The fight is on"

so we have had some pretty cool topics lately

Umm yea

It also helps thatI have a good teacher she is an illustrator well she was before she became an art teacher she stillpaints though... We dont do that much technical stuff on drawing... I would like it more if we did... but she helps you with all your stuff... She really likes the Idea of Sijun too She said maby she should get one of her elder classes on the computers in the art block and post there stuff here

well Im doing this one as a rendered pencil sketch...
