Image Look great and I like the textured feel (particularly on the shoulder). It's hard to comment without seeing the source photo but the hair on the right hand side of the image looks a little too "full" ie too much of it. Also, it might be an idea to do a little something with the background as you have this great foreground image with alot of detail and then the background has big blotchy patches. Sure this can give it contrast but to my eye it looks that you've spent 90% of the time on the foreground image and it is let down a little by the background.

Keep up the good work

Especially her eyes look very good. I would only make her right eye a little bit bigger.

Good Job!

Thanx for the Comments so far! Great idea's!I agree with you Matt Elder, the hair does look a little too full.... i was struggling with that hair... it would be so much easier if she was bald... (then again she'd be so much more unattractive) lol! I posted a previous thread asking for techniques on hair...but i really didnt get as much advice on that as i had hoped. So i did the best i could with what i knew. Now that i look at it, i think i used too many strokes in the hair with small brushes and it made it look alot more full then it really is, perhaps i should have used larger brushes and longer strokes? then again maybe im wrong, im not an art god like some people on this forum.

As for the background.... i was baffled and boombazzled as to what to put there, and your right on about the 90% foreground 10% background.... shit... i didnt know what to do there so i just tossed some paint up and threw some strokes around.... help? ideas? techniques on hair? how can i improve the background? Feel free to mess with my image and improve it yourself, the more info and critique i get the more i learn! so have at me! thanx!

The first one of your "final" images is better. The blue fits in more nicely with em lanterns while the red kinda blends in with it and it kinda hurts my eyes n all. OUCH! Notice how opposites of colors fit nicely? Like black and white? Well blle is the opposite of a skin tone. (Hence the blue screens)
