Awesome guys!
i'm picking up a lot just by observing the images posted and also about the aliens series in general!!!
LOL @ Spooge, Did James Cameron say anything else after your encounter?! or did he limp away with his tail between his legs!?
that is so funny! you just have to vizualize James Cameron frowning with disaprooval. |

I think he just checked his bank balance and was fine after that. ( A minute's silence for the dead indeed; his next movie must be about the Hindenburg or something.)
It's kinda reassuring that he's not considered God on this here forum. Most places I only have to allude that I don't think his films are up to much there's a chorus of "Dood! He's only the greatest Sci Fi Director apart from Lucas, mannn!!!! Are you on crack?!" 'tis quite amusing. (you should see what I get called when I mention that I think David Fincher's almost stillborn, hacked-up-with-a-shakey-premise Alien3 has more depth, character and style than all of Big C's work put together. Hooo boy! ) |

I think alien3 had the most innovative story of all the alien movies, even if it may not have been pulled off on screen as well as it could have. The movie ahd the same director as the movie "Seven" I belive.
I was kind of tryng to capture the brownish tint of the creature in alien3 in my sketches at the top, maybe I was taking the wrong approach. |

Hey, I'm a bit of a Cameron fan. Sure, Titanic was the biggest load of shit ever, but most of his movies are pretty cool. The terminators were awesome movies, and I though aliens was quite a bit better than alien. BTW, whats the story with T3? That happening or what? I
Sorry guys, I'm not with you on Aliens 3. It sucked. |

Terminator 3 is being made, but Cameron is not involved. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Edward Furlong have signed on to reprise their roles. It's going to take place in the future with the war between the resistance and terminators.
Regarding Alien 3, I suggest trying to find the alternate script for it, the one that was originally planned but somehow was rejected (rumor states that the end of the cold war had something to do with it). I thought that it was much better than the one that was used. In the Alien 3 that was made, killing off two of the main characters at the beginning completely ruined the movie for me. It went downhill at terminal velocity from there.

yeah? I couldn't think of anything better than knocking off newt. That way we also get the magnificent autopsy scene.
Nahh, take the series out of the warm and fuzzy action moviemode and send it back into the depths of solitude, suspicion and character where it belongs.
Fincher says he hated the way it turned out though; nothing like what he planned, too much intervention from above. |

I TOTALLY agree with you MUZMAN!
that's what give the series it's suspense!
the isolation and weakness of the characters compared to an owerwelming evil. I think Atmosphere is TOTALLY negeleced nowadays, it makes you relate to the characters and enviroments like you are there! |

I had a huge Crush on Newt. So did most of my buds.
She was our age when I saw the movie So...
The William Gibson Script for Alien 3 was like one of the best scripts I've ever read.
here http://members.xoom.com/scriptszone/scripts/alien3.htm
if you'd liketo read it that is.
He said he had to re-write it like 26 times because the alien Creators couldn't agree on what they wanted the aliens to be. |
