Figured we'd have a similar color pallette as the bazaar, but a little different. I made the sky different so that the shadows will be a little different. Spent about an hour so far on it-anyone care to draw his snickersnee on it?

Just thought I'd show where I got with it. I might some day go back. I have a couple things I want to add.

looks cool, but i get the feeling of it being almost like a small miniature set of a city built between two normal sized walls. maybe you need to give it more depth and/or something in the forground to convince me that this is a large city. also, try to add a bit of detail to the objects closer to the viewer. that would probly help too. especialy on the cliff face.

What gives it that disembodied feeling is the lack of a foreground... if you notice, most of the hudson r school landscapes have a natrual progression from immediate forground to vista... this grounds the viewer into a location, gives him a body and a reference for scale.
It might be rather hard to add after the fact now though... |

Hey, thanks about the forground. I never looked at any Hudson school pics, so I'm not sure how you mean, but I think I understand. I just sketched in a little suspension bridge and balloon, and added a couple little details. Ah, better move on I think

PS:I know the perspective is off on the ones I sketched in(size, direction), but oh well, I didn't want to measuer it!
