I just sent Immi a tutorial of the 10 steps in making this little sketch. I actually thought about it and broke it down logically so it is very easy to follow. I then explained each step.

So when 3dpalette gets back on it's feet, it will be there, so surf on over if you have the interest.

Here is an ornithopter, from, of all things, my art center entrance portfolio. You can see the enthusiasm, but not the training. Look at those ellipses in the landing gear. ouch.

I scanned a bunch of drawings from that period for Joachim, so I threw this on the barbie too.

It is amazing how many people count star wars and those Joe Johnston sketchbooks as a beginning influence.

I know a guy at ILM that says if he sees one more JJ ripoff porfolio he will commit a felony. hehe...

I post it here cause I didn't want to mess up anyone elses thread and it doesn't deserve its own thread.

Hey Immi, good to see things are moving!

Hey, don't look at me. I keep getting told, its almost done, its almost done. And always, new problems seem to come out. This is whats happening now. We were having too much trouble setting up 3dp on an NT server, so gamedev is building us a linux one. We'll have unlimited space, unlimited bandwith, and unlimited ftp accounts, and a ton of cool fancy schmancy software installed, which is what we need. We can't be too pushy, because if we went to a hosting place for that sort of stuff, we'd be paying 500 US bucks (thats a lot, we're in Canada, and we make money is Canadian dollars, which is roughly equivalent to getting paid in Zambian dollars) a month or more.

Anyways, I've been busy this week at work, and rugby just started, but i'm aiming to get spooge's tutorial up for the weekend. From then, we're gonna try do an article/week, like old times. Gamedev says the linux box will be done in max 2 weeks, so cross fingers.
