Well it seems that Arthurian stuff is popular right now (or it least it was) And since I just got done watching 'Excalibur' on DVD, AND since I got my Wacom tablet today (w00h00!!!).. **pant**pant**

Here's my little quickie painting.. bear in mind it's my first attempt at painting in photoshop a little sloppy, but I was just havin' fun with it.

hey, Nice pic!
I just did a pic with the same theme. Probably gonna post my revised version soon. I've always admired the way you guys can just stroke using the paint tool and come out with great stuff. I'm always picking away at my pics trying to make the sharper, more precise...I just can't get the same effect out of stroking..maybe its drawing with the mouse but oh well ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

I like it Flexible Elf. The quick well placed strokes really bring me into it.
Keep painting away...

Mr. Elf-a very cool start...are you going to take it any further or are you going to leave it in its state...I like it either way. Nice shapes, and a very interesting composition... |

I think I remember this scene. Uther is attacked for Excalibur? That is such a great sequence. The idea that the land and the holder of excalibur are one is an idea that is expressed through the phtography. I love that shot when the blood flows out of the armor and mixes with the muddy water.
The contrast of heavy texture and hard armor is nice. |

Thanks a lot guys!
I really can see why the dark ages is such an interesting thing to paint. Way fun.
Fred - I think if I take it any further I'm gonna take a little more dramatic of an angle and more action.
Spooge - Yeah I agree. that scene, along with the opening scene are two of my favorites. I think I like the beginning (Uther) scenes more than the latter. Uther's a more interesting character IMO than Arthur is.

Yeah it's from Excalibur. Based on a scene in the marsh near the beginning.

Sucks.. I'm going to have to go spend more money on another DVD. Maybe I will do some pics from the 13th Warrior. |
