Just been working on a new site design, and When i save the main image and load it into dreamweaver the gradients are all screwy even if I use high quality jpgs or pngs.
Anyone help? |

Gradients are terrible for the web. Try to stay away from using gradients larger than 100x100 pixels square or they'll turn out huge. |

Try adding a little bit of noise to your gradients, that may help fix the banding problem.
i havn't had problems with gradients using jpeg compression, do you have any examples to show us? what program are you using to compress your jpegs?
Sorry to sound so silly, but are you using the "save for web" option (if you're using photoshop) |

yeh im using Photoshop 5.5.. havent tried anything else with it. I tried a few different modes, png, jpg, save for web etc. all give me the same kind of thing regardless of what quality i give it.
sorry about the size of it, havent been up long cant be bothered opening ps yet.
