This pic has a story behind it, but I don't feel like explaining it. I'd just like feedback on the technical aspect of it pretty much. What do you think?

HAHA that's cute Tinusch
I don't know exactly what you mean about the "technical aspect" of the picture though.

There goes Stinke, asking his silly questions again. I basically meant that since no one knows the story behind the pic, it would be hard to comment on how I did as far as the character himself. Just the technique and coloring and shading and whatnot. Thanks for the compliments though, dood.
Cane Thanks. Yep, it's pierced.
Faustgfx I don't know who Bryan Erickson is...
Binke I guess it would've made sense to put the comments directed at you right here instead of at the beginning. Too late now, though. We all make mistakes.

great pic, I think the bottom of his sweatshirt is too dark. The picture itself reminds me of faustgfx. hehe. Can't wait for the reply!

We do indeed Tinusch. We do indeed.
oh yeah, maybe you wanted comments
Uhm, I think his neck looks a little too small for that big head, but it's a cartoony pic, so I am not sure. I also agree that the bottom of his shirt looks too dark. Shading looks good.

The face looks like it's flattened out a bit, like it's on a plane facing directly at the camera, while his head is still turned. I think this is from the lighting, a bit, and from the way you drew his left eye and eyebrow. Because of the way human heads curve, you'd probably be seeing his left eye more from the side, so it wouldn't be quite as wide, and the shape would be a bit different. And you probably wouldn't be able to see the left ear or the hair on that side at all. Though I'm not quite positive on that last bit. I'm struggling with drawing practically the same pose in one of my pictures too!
Anyway, hope this helps. Maybe Spooge will drop in and re-draw the whole thing. Man, would THAT be amusing. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/wink.gif) |

Mantis Thanks. The sweater fades from pinkish/reddish/orangish to black, the black isn't shadow, it's the color of the sweater. Oh, that Faustgfx comment was a bad idea...
Binkie Yeah, the fade-thing that I discussed above is responsible for the blackness. I guess I could've just grouped you and Mantis together and replied to you both simultaneously, you know, kill two stones with one bird or something, but I didn't think ahead. My bad.
Waylon Uh... Wow. That's a lot of words. Thanks. |

Tinusch-ear looks a bit pasted on. Pull some of that dark value on to the ear too. That side plane would be casting a bit of a shadow on to it, then it also wont look so separated from the rest of the head.
The hand looks masked in. Maybe use that cast shadow on the chest to also envelope the bottom few fingers of the hand...
Nice characture. Really stylistic... ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
