I' haven't been able to show this because it wasn't published yet, but now that it is check it out!!
www.barberelectronics.com

the graphics were done in photoshop. I used fireworks to slice the images up.Then used dreamweaver to set up the tables....then note pad for any anomalous code and to smooth the edges.
I would just like to get any crits on the design, layout......any suggestions or comments are welcome!

Thanks!!

That's a rather original design, but there's something odd about the wires.. cant put my finger on it really. Weird.

I've got a couple of comments actually..

first of all, the left top, inner corner, i think it's supposed to be round, but it's not.. as it is now, it looks rather sloppy.

second, you might consider filling up the top and left side of the page, in stead of just shopping of those bars, the page will look somewhat better in higher resolutions, and the stuff will scale along as well..

and i don't like the overall colors

then there are code-details.. opening a new window like you do at the products section scares people off, a lot of people don't like windows they don't open themselves. And if there will be a lot more products, you might consider using php/asp/coldfusion in stead of plain html ..

ozenzo, here is my 2 cents.

I would make everything much smaller, especially the navigation with label.

Maybe make a label a tiny bit longer.

The space you have between the remote and the label (wires area) is way too large and doesnt carry any pupose really...

I would remove that brown interface behind the remote, wires and label, since it does the same job as the remote and label. Or make it very very dim.

I don't know if you are doing it for an elderly client that way they usually would want everything 4X scale so they can see it, so it would be perfect for them.

Not sure what resolution you are doing the site for. 800X600 (750px wide) or larger but dont forget it needs to fit in to the smaller monitors.

Oz-the design at the top still has some white edging to it, like the mask you selected to clip the art from wasn't quite snug with the cords. Try hitting it with the Matting submenu, and remove white, or defringe...
I also think, now this is only my opinion, but I think it needs a connection made at the right side of the screen as well, not just the cable running off the page.
Or, it needs many cables, in a weave pattern running off the page, something to fill the space a bit. Graphically, it looks a little anemic, or lacking in mass.

If I had this my way, I would also make the buttons toggle or something when you scroll over them, or depress or something. I just like lots of interaction. Need my eye candy fix I guess.

THen again, I guess that's why I don't make these things, I would want too many complex things that are too costly and speed inneficient...

The rest of the design is really nice though, clean and simple. WHat about depth, drop shadows, maybe an electronic schematic or something in the beige area, like a duo tone image at 25% opacity...again, my opinion only...you are designing it and know your clients better than any of us...
