Affected is having the same problem. Every once and awhile the forum seems to be down for me, but I usually come back in 20 minutes or so and it will be up. I guess what I am saying is... it might not be you. |

This forum is almost always down for me, usually a few hours at a time or even all night. |

it's the server that dhahib is using, it's down every once in a while, sometimes for days at a time...it's crazy, but until he gets hold of his server people I guess we'll be stuck with it. |

ARERRRGhhhhh. it's soooooooo slow. I disabled Sound, images. etc and I was able to get this far but it's not much fun if there 's no pics.
The forum is down all the time for me as well but this is different. it just takes for ever. We need to set up a subject on another forum like sinj's for when this one goes to shit.

? That's odd, the forum loads just fine for me. Either there's a crappy server relay where you guys are or I have more patience than I thought
Tho about 3 days ago the forum was completely down (for prolly everyone I think).

might just be a usa problem, most europeans (myself included) seem to have no probs getting on. |

Why can't I access sijun.com on my T3 connection at work whilst my 56k modem works fine???
[EDIT] - just had a thought. Maybe the server prioritises requests based upon bandwidth?

I don't think its an USA problem, because I'm from Europe and I've had problems to read the forums as well, with both a fast connection and from home with my 56Kb modem.
Maybe there are too many messages on the forum (I've heard that this may slow down the UBB system) or maybe it's the server, dunno. |

Ehm, why don't they just erase all the old messages??
and btw, I am having no problem what so ever to access the forum, I don't know why the rest can't.

awright. I did a little traceroute from my pc to Dhabib's page. I have about 12 inbetween nodes all having a relatively good ping reply even with a 56k modem. If you want to check the connection from your point to anywhere (sijun.com), try neotrace or go to This page's bottom and enter sijun.com.
I know it won't fix anything but if you're curious as of knowing there's a faulty link somewhere you might check it out.
I suspect some relaying provider is having hardware problem that causes the slowdown for some people.
Spooge, I may not be very knowledgable on this nor have a big-fu**ing-kahuna-networking diploma but anyway.
ege, waffle in the wind.

From Spain sijun.com is available at all times, for me of course. It is just one week since I discovered it, though. |

It's been INCREDIBLY slow since yesterday, took over an hour to display a single message! ... at least it hasn't been timing out on me.
What's up with this, and does anyone have any idea when it'll be better??

I had the same problem for past week. if u replace the www.sijun.com in the url with an ip 209.203.244.114 it should work without slowdowns.
did for me.
just make sure you are accessing forum directly not through the main page so you are not stuck in a frame.

i see everyones got all the same problems.. i knew it had to do something with the web server itself.. cause doing a tracert on www.sijun.com showed no apparent trouble spots in the route.. today err right now is the first time page loaded for me.. before the farthest i got was to the forum main board.. and it would just time out after trying to go into a topic forum (digital or musings) good to see its working now..
When it first happend i went into the irc room to ask what was up.. at first i thought it was only me tho.. cause binke said it loads fine for him.. :P
But right now its slow.. very slow :P

Monday morning, still the same. Took about 30 minutes to get this far, everything times out.
Server needs reset? Dhab is not reachable, he reads his email as much as I do
Don't know what to do. The does not look reachable either.
I have no idea what to do, many here have a lot more knowledge about this stuff, so I do nothing.
I'll come back in a week/: |
