Hi all...I was given the (school)assignment to make an short animation(2d) on this poem of Tim Burton.
Stainboy
Next to Superman and Batman,
I guess he must seem tame.
But to me he is quite special,
and Stain Boy is his name.
He can't fly around tall buildings,
or outrun a speeding train,
the only talent he seems to have,
is to leave a nasty stain.
Sometimes I know it bothers him,
that he can't run or swim or fly,
and because of this one ability,
his dry cleaning bill's sky-high.
Im thinking of how Stainboy should look like..in my anim.
The original looks like this >> http://www.tburton.8m.com/cgi-bin/i/stainboy/s2.jpg
How would you guys visualize him....I have some ideas of my own though, but i was just wandering what you folks can come up with...

have you seen some of Tim Burton's student films? looks very similar to his style...
perhaps... you should try to make your own style?

flash is... fun if you want to do southpark kind of stuff, basically create objects and move them, they may morph a bit, or you could draw each frame, but if you just have objects on screen moving, flash is great, however if you want to do every frame by hand... well then I dunno you could make an animated GIF with Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Imageready (?never used it for that)
and what's good with GIFs is that you controll the timing for each frame, that way you can create interesting effects... see www.synj.net for reference to "cool effects" |

Make his cape dirtier. Icky reddish and brown spots, with hints of yellow would be good. =)
