Something strange happened while i was using photoshop... suddenly all of the painting tool modes were replaced with "threshold". Puzzled, i tried to reset all brushes, but they just reset to threshold. No normal mode?! What happened... anyone know and want to share with this confused novice?

hehe...you had an 8-bit image loaded.....
then you cant use any blending modes or transarency because that wouldnt work with only 256 colours.
just create a new image and look in the mode, there it sez now "bitmap" i think. just click on it and change it to rgb-colour. |

argh... bad server..bad!
anyway, thanks for the reply, but I don't think that was it... unless I somehow changed to 8bit from working on a 24bit image.... but even then it should still have a normal paint mode. I think I pushed some combo that put me in threshold mode, and I couldn't get out. Still don't know what happened... strange.
