I just got this in my companies mail, shhhh. just kidding. It's not confidential stuff, just an open mailer sent to all AIGA members.
here goes:
Save the date for "Draw: AIGA Seminar on Illustration."
The AIGA presents "Draw," the first seminar in a new strand of programming
devoted to illustration and the relationship of illustration to design.
Date and time: Tuesday, November 21, 2000, 6:00 p.m.
Location: Galapagos, Brooklyn, New York
The seminar, subtitled "Who the Hell Needs Illustration?" will be moderated
by illustrator-designers Nicholas Blechman and Christoph Niemann.
Through a series of themed panel discussions, contextual slide shows and
musical acts, the seminar will explore the state of illustration today.
Featured panelists include: Mirko Ilic, Steven Guarnaccia, Janet Froelich
and Chip Kidd.
