Spitfire, thanks... I'd heard about IPv6 and switching to 32 character IP's two years or so back when they started implementing it in the routers, but hadn't heard much on the extensions that I can remember -- I thought they were seperate plans. Hmm, will have to go hunting for that... especially how the de-centralizing of domain names will be handled if internic isn't doing it like you said (security and pirating domains, giving faulty IPs, etc), or maybe I just don't know enough about how the networking works yet... I'm rambling on, I'll quit now since this is all slightly off topic and go back to work
