I remember back in the day, Gameart was where everyone went to see some awesome game-related pics. They checked it out almost every day to check out the latest masterpieces by some of the best digital artists around. With contributors like Dhabih Eng, Craig Mullins, and even the famed Tinusch, Gameart was booming. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed that it pretty much died out for the most part after the big redesign. All the top artists went on to more time-consuming projects, and the rest of us just found other things to do. Now it's just the same few people sending in their pics.
Here's my idea.
I think everyone on the forum should try and make at least one good game-related pic and send it in. I think having top-notch pics from Micke, Joachim, Danny, Fred, Spooge, Loki, Binke, and the rest of the Sijun crew would breathe new life into Gameart. Even if it doesn't help to rejuvinate Gameart, it'll be fun right?
So that's my idea. Let me know what you think. |

I can't even access it here at my work, because of the way they redesigned it. Otherwise I would have visited it more often. |

Post them here! Post them here! If the land is dead, the earth is salted amd the trees are burnt, it's time to look for a different land. Bring them here. |

Art related to video games. i.e. a picture of a character from Quake. |

Well, I, and I'm sure many more of the people around here, are indebted to Gameart for introducing them to digital art and/or giving their work exposure and publicity. It was and still can be a great resource for artists to have their work shown. I'd rather see everyone pitch in to save it than to just abandon it and let it fizzle out.
Virotype: Yes, it's http://www.gameart.com . Didn't you just recently send something to Gameart? |

I agree with you guys totally, I owe everything, my art and all my inspiration due to gaming. It's just that when we grow older, we've all learned how to emulate, and now, were givin the go at creating our own shit.
U know?
But ya, I'm gonna start on some final fantasy pics or zelda |
