...'nother concept sketch out of my sketchbook, this one a little more "markered in". Tried for a little 'unearthly' color pallette to suggest another planet. All critiques are appreciated!

That's pretty darn neat.
just looking at that sort of thing makes me realise that I know nothing about technical drawing.
I love how it all looks like it would work.
*sigh* |

I just had a look at your website WacoMonkey. All I can say is "Man can you draw". I'm looking at that stuff in awe.

this looks alot like the land-rover vehicle thing in Armageddon. i really like this, and how it looks like the machine is "crawling" up the mountain with those tires |

DuKEZ - yeah, I was a car designer for Nissan for abotu 4 1/2 years.
I haven't yet decided, but I may want to turn this one into a digital painting, so i wouldn't mind some hard core composition and color critique. Part of my problem with the image is that the vehicle looks 'choppy' in terms of contrast. Do I have too many light sources?
Btw. this comp is entirely marker with a few bits of prisma pencil. |

The vehicle looks as if it would be possible
to stand up on its wheels . That would surely improve
its cross country abilities . The door is
puzzeling me somehow because if the vehicle
isn't in its upright position the crew would
have difficulties at leaving the vehicle over
those arm like extensions for the wheels .
The form of the body of the vehicle suggests
that it has got the possibility to flex its body .
One thing occured to me , that the wheels
would be rather under pressure and most likely
wouldn't survive any real stunt . The connection
point to the arms must be a very solid
construction in order to not to break ...
The design feels good though .

Wow!That's a really nice design! Really nice rendered with the pen and markers. The only thing i can see is the craters in the background. Somehow the perspective don't make sense to me, but i might be wrong.
Good to see you posting stuff again! Looking
forward for your next.

Awesome sketch WacoMonekey. I'm also really happy that you finally have started to post more stuff to the forum.
Personally I like the perspectice of the craters. It gives a great feeling of height.
