Hi!

This is a bit off topic.. but it is digital art so lets just jump over this small into and come to the point.

Some weeks ago I did a photoshooting with my band on various locations.
I have a photo arrangement here. What do you think of it, what would be other options (we would like to keep a kind of "alternative" styling) to style it.

It is thought to be a part of a splash image.

would really be happy about input.. or anything.

Does this look cheap? Would you do it different?

This is the composition yet:

btw .. can you guess which of this goodlooking people is me?

Nex-hola...Been posting a lot lately. Good to see...with this, the thing that bugs me is that you have various color photos with flats over them, and still, there is color competing with the flats you chose.

I would, if you want to keep the color arrangement, turn each of the photos into a duotone supporting the respective color in each panel. THat way you end up with a harmonious image, with one consistency pulling all the separate photos together.

Blah blah, gotta run now...have a great day...

Hope you don't mind me tinkering with your photostuff, but here is something to think about.
See if you notice any other changes, aside from the color..I overlaped some of the images alittle bit, elbow here, tree trunk there, shadow over there. Kinda helps tie it all together, after all, it is a band right?

Fred: you you are right. But my "holidays" are over today so my posting ammount will greatly be reduced (to a more bearable ammount)
[..and there was happyness among them ]

good idea, I will try it with the duotone, thanks.

Guy: How did you know?

samdragon: Looks cool this way. Maybe I will add some "old photo artefacts" and try it out.

Thanks for your comments guys.

Duotones can be really nice indeed.
One other thing I would keep in mind is the contrast in each of the images. If you compare for instance the shot of the dude on the left with the dude on the right, there is a world of diffirence in contrast. With the first one having too little of it and the latter one too much. I think if you'd balance that out a bit more you'll end up with even more harmony as Fred spoke off.
Nex, you strike me as a leather pants figure, I say you're behind door number 5..

My $0.02... I like the color version because it has more life than a straight duotone, but I think you can put even more energy into it. So I messed around with it a bit and this is what I came up with. I work as a graphic designer so I do this kind of stuff all day.

Moving the pictures around adds motion, as do the lines. And the lines also focus the viewers eyes on the faces, like zapman said, but also ties all the pictures together. Plus I played with the contrasts and toned down the blue pic.

Good luck with the band!
