I'm in the middle of doing a comic and I'm having difficulty creating a sense of movement in the under the ocean scenes. The characters look still and motionless, nothing suggests they are underwater other than schools of fish swimming around. Has anyone got any techniques to share?

What medium you work with. Ink?? Computer??
Paint?? What is your style. Do you use raster or solid blacks, colors..??
I think best way to learn is copying. Read comics that you like and look how it's illustrated in those. This is obvious, but create solid style and don't change it in the middle. Take easy start. Not too complex. Good storyline is most important thing. Draw lot's of images. Sketch. Think how you can illustrate scene. Close up? Depth and viewing angles?
Tell more about the comic and somebody might be able to help..
