http://www.superpen.com/
Follow the link above to go the SuperPen tablet site.
I have been wondering and thinking alot about tablets. The bad thing is that Wacom is not widely available here in my country and I suppose it's not easily available in European countries too after reading the threads about some Europeans not being able to buy replacement parts for the Wacom tablets such as pen nips.
The SuperPen is much cheaper than the Graphire that they stock here.In fact it's 50% cheaper than the Graphire. Only bad points are that the SuperPen comes only in serial port models and have only 512 preassure points(equals the Graphire). I have been to a computer shop to check out the SuperPen, and it appears that they plug the keyboard and the SuperPen right into the same Keyboard port. What they have is a cable that branches into 2. One would be for the tablet and the other one would be for the keyboard. The sales representitives there were not very knowledgeable about computers. Can 2 serial devices share one keyboard port just like my printer and scanner(parallel scanner) share one printer port ? Is the keyboard port a COM port?
I'm confused as my knowledge about computer hardwares is very limited. |

I walked into a computer shop here in Perth and asked to see a wacom and they had never heard of it. Sold me an EASYpen....I don't know how to use it and no time to learn. |

They're leading with 512 levels of pressure sensitivity!!! Wacom 6x8 has 1024 or something like that. |
