More fun stuff. I am trying to get a hang of the values idea. this is a rather comic/animated look. mostly flat colour. I have had this image floating around in my head ever since Bg put up his dragon pic.
I would probably make it darker now that I've had a closer look, but Anyways:
enjoy

Pretty neat picture, but my eyes are just crying for some contrast in there! We've got bright tones followed by even brighter tones for the dragon. Ayei!! I couldn't discern anything about it while it was downloading until the spear popped in. I like the look of the warrior, especially the spear. Well actually, the spearhead. Can't help but feel sorry for him though, I think that leaping lizard has the upper hand (claw whatever) here...

Heh I just realised how sucky that first pic was. Your right on the donga Gothic Gerbil.
So the only question left is:
Does this one look any better?

I dunno, it looks....dirtier now. I must say the enhanced glowing trails coming from the dragons eyes certainly make it look meaner. I still think that warrior doesn't have a chance either blue glowing spear or not! =) Definitely have to say it looks less flat and more rounded now though, specially there in the torso. Hmm, ok, I think I should stop talking at other peoples' work and actually finish something. Oh neat, I just noticed I passed that magical limit that promoted me to coveted member status!! Wheee.....

Ok I just thought I'd even the odds with a bit of the old lighteneing rod
It's all chessy as hell but I'm having fun
have to make things smaller to take up less space

And let's not mention the lighting hell you just got yourself into with that stray bolt. =) Hey, liking it, seeing smaller makes it easier for me to see it over all instead of picking on your brush strokes. The shadows on the upper left arm of the dragon (its left arm, not yours) seem inconsistent with the rest of the design, but I could be wrong here. Looking at that guy makes me think of Vanhallen (or whatever his name is) from Johnny Bravo on the Cartoon Network, which makes great background noise while smudging around with ye olde wacom. Hey, keep having fun!
