Do you ever sleep Mr spooge ?!

This one has some seriously eery undertones. sent me straight onto a macbeth/event horizon pluck.
The white background is an open invitation to let our minds run ~ I see burning buildings , my colleague visions of stained glass.

p.s
dont stop !

Spooge,

I love looking at all you have to offer. I really like this one cause you can really see a lot of the layers as you painted it. Very helpful and informative as all your stuff really is. You are inspirational WOW...

I know they are rough, but the depth in them is rather good.

Keep posting all you got man...There grrrrrreeeeeeaaaaaatttt!! (Tony the tiger Great)

Spooge, don't stop!

Every image that you paint harbours invaluable lessons, and gives us incredible exposure to your formidable talent and incredible vision!

Love the painting. Very moody. I'd be interested in seeing you paint some architecture from the same period . . .

Don't Stop!!

First I thought a church interior would look good for a background here.. but I think he looks too much like "after the battle" for this. Maybe a burning church-- would fit this prince of darkness touch too.

I would tell you to never ever stop, but I think you have more important stuff to do, like eat or sleep or mowe the lawn.

I love the sweaty hair on his forehead, the dark/reddish face gives the same kind of impression as the other king arthur pic viewed sideways.. Wonderful

This looks almost Simon Bisley like if it wasn't for the abscense of toothbrush spatters... But what's this.... There's still white showing?!?!?

Spooge, here are a couple quick sketches. Each took about 20 minutes.

I still need to take time and simplify, and use many of the tools in photoshop, not just the paintbrush. But these quick sketches you are doing helped me see some things in quick rendering, one of them is brush direction. In the green goblin face, I tried to use directional line to go from one shape to the next. Photoshop needs some assistance to get from one shape to the next, unlike painting, where the brush strokes are easier to derive.
Like I said, I can still simplify these down a bit more, but for now, I am beginning a new world of exploration.

Thanks for posting these quick roughs, it is good to see this, as well as the final paintings.

Spooge, if you stop, can I have your skill?

Frederick, those are amazing. Thank you for illustrating some heads. I can see a little bit about how you go about it. Great work!

Awesome work Craig!!!

The face is just brilliant. Just enough detail to make the expression and mood without overworking it. Keep posting this shit, man - it's inspirational.

Do you use any referance material for your work?

I just have to say that I wish I had such freedom with my strokes. But I always find myself sitting here planning out my next series immaculately. And of course mussing it up and redoing it several times. But hey, just saying nice picture there, like it like it.

Your combining two of my favorite things there spooge; sketches and medievil stuff
I could ask for more, but I'd be so wraped up in what you just posted that anything else would likely pass me by.

Have you ever tried drawing a dragon? I would PAY to see that

And definitly don't stop. I get all jittery and that must...draw...NOW! feeling takes a hold whenever you show new stuff.

I didn't think he looked that freaky.

I imagined him as one of those guys who scratches out a living by going to those Renaissance fairs in costume. Well, it was 95 degrees and that armor suit was getting hot. Some kid dropped a hamster into the back of it and that did it. He sliced up a few people and felt better.

This is his mug shot.
