I was just out shopping computers and I wanted to get the Wacom tablet the same day. However I say TWO wacom 6x8 tablets. one was called a Pen Partner or something...It was cheaper the the Intuos but It looked goofey, so I asked the guy there and he said the Intuos was more sensitive. I don't know what to get but what do you guys think?

they have a very detailed description of product features on www.wacom.com
I don't think personally that the intous is so much better.. it has more pressure levels.
You decide.

What you could do is get a wacom graphire and test it out for a couple months, practice, and when you're ready to go for something better, get a 6x8 intuos or something. |

280!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, that is extreme!!! How can tablets be so expensive???
Sorry, I rarely get angry about such things, but this is how much an Intuous A4 tablet is gonna cost me in good 'ol blighty!
Is the technology really that complex. It just saddens me when artists are amongst the poorest people in business, artists pay more for their tools than any other profession. It's a complete racket. Paints, brushes, paper - it's a complete rip-off and I'm really fed up of it.
Ian: In answer to your question , you really can't go wrong with Intuous tablets. Even an A6 will give you a reasonably good quality. The graphire ones (also WACOM) are cheaper, though I can't vouch for quality. I use a Pen Partner. |
