allo,
This time round I'm trying to feel the whole painting take shape instead of detail the thing clock wise (which now I understand is a no-no)... Also, a little more loose this time hopefully..I did overlay an old painting of mine which brought out some nice characters, especially in the window and the sidewalk, but in the long run I still prefer to paint textures from the ground up.
I would really appreciate feedback on this...thank yas
Title inspired by the song of the same name by Ben Harper ("faded, so faded... like a memory gone, there's no recollection.")

Nightime,
I really like this image! I would work on some of the edges. Lose some, find some, that kind of thing. Ground the image in sharp reality in areas and tease us with the rest in fog.
Good work. |

thanks!
AliasMoze: about edges, I don't totally understand their hierarchy order just yet... would the edges sharpen towards the bottom of the image because it's away from the hazy light?.. or is there no specific sequence?
and do you guys like the shady character on the street? I prefer to keep him ambiguous.. but I could realize him a little more for clarity's sake

I really like, and I'm definitely attracted to the colour scheme in it. The window and wall on the left though kinda bother me, but eh oh well. I love the damp misty feel to it. Woah, and I didn't even see the character in it until you mentioned it. Eh, actually it kind of looks like there are two. Or am I seeing things.........durr.........

Hehe, Gothic Gerbil you're not the only one! I showed this to a couple of my friends and they spotted two characters instantly -- but I still don't see it... The description was, one is laying on the other person's shoulder, in a fetal position...Guess it was a "happy accident" >?<

Wheeee I really am not insane then yet!! Though errr, well, that isn't what I saw hehehe. I see a shady figure on the steps and then another guy back in the door way on his haunches with his hands on his knees. Hmm, and that could be someone curled up next to him. AYEI!!!! Now I see 3!! I need help don't I.
