Just wondering what other people out there do to relax or forget about work when things get stressful. I myself do a lot of outdoor or physical activities to unwind. Skydiving, mountain biking, sports, working out etc..

It's funny how the stereo type for people that work with computers is no longer the guy with the thick glasses and pocket protector.

Anyway, this is a waste of a thread that maybe should be in random musings but I had to show everybody my new toy. Any other motorcycle enthusiasts out there?

Wow SWEET!! No, i'm not a motorcycle enthusiast guy, but wow!! That looks like bundles of fun

To unwind, normally I'll call up some friends, you know, we'll find something to do. I really love watersports so a lot of the time we'll pack our backpacks and ride our bikes over to a lake or river and we'll like have a picnic together and then go on those inflatable matresses and float around somewhere and just talk. Kinda sounds boring, but you get a lot out of floating around, sunbathing and talking i dunno i find it really relaxing.

You're right though, outdoors are great!! Sunny days... ah yes

the stereotype for digital artists seem to be "dj guys". everyone thinks we're dj's or breakdancers or club-hoppers...very funky.

I find myself playing my banjo when I'm taking a break from work. Playing is so different from painting that it immediately takes my mind off things and loosens me up to keep working.

If I don't have my banjo handy then 'll just go to Borders or Hennessey to browse.

Late,

Before I moved, I had my Honda XR 80 and the 250 which I rode regularly anywhere (lived outta town). Something I really miss now that I live in a typical residential zone. Houses are too damn close.

To relax, I'll skateboard (Hmm, that's more workout), play games (on PC, PSX or GB), read, listen to music, pick on the banj, or just zone out infront of the telly.

Back to it...

Call me a freak if you want, but i'm totally obsessed with this white and shiny armor.

Yeah, i'm actually in there somewhere
Planning to get a mannequinn for it so i can have it standing in my work-room.

Well, since we're on the topic of motorcycles, here's a page out of my sketchbook with a few silly 'hubless' bike designs...
