Hey... how do you pronounce Wacom? I always thought it was WAY-kom, but when I called tech support for something, the woman on the recording said WAH-kem, kind of like "whack 'em". What's up with that?

It was founded by a Japanese (Azuma Murakami) So I guess its pronounced like DuKEZ said.

EDIT:

"The company name is derived from wa = harmony com = computer." - WACOM history on their homepage

There was a thread about this awhile back, a few people called tech support and the people there called it "WAH-COM". That's "wah" as in wand or waffle.

Just to head off another thread like this, I'll just state for the record that my name is pronounced "Whack-a-Monkey", like Whack-a-Mole.

Since I know you were all paralysed by the uncertainty of it all...

Hehehe... only had to call tech support because I was being a jackass. I wanted to take my serial 4X5 off my PC and put it on the G4, so I bought a KeySpan serial-to-USB adapter (very good, BTW). I was trying to configure the driver for a USB connect, but it wasn't seeing the tablet. You think I'd try the serial option? Of course not, but Whack 'em tech support set me straight >8)
