I put up some more charcter designs recently.
I had very limited time doing them so some things may look messed up. Check them out
and tell me what you think. If any of you have some good points i'll go back and correct them.

See them in bigger resolution here:

There is more but i have'nt had the time to scan them in yet.

I wish you lived here in the states. I'd really like to visit your studio, and check out all the work you have lying about. All this stuff is great. I like the direction you are taking your style. I am glad to hear you are working on the life drawing. A very important thing to have intuitive. It will help you out so much.
When you invent the clothing, are you sourcing any reference for the folds you put in the images. So many of the fold lines look very convincing, almost hard to believe you made them up, but I know they easily could be.
Get those other ones scanned soon, can't wait to see them...

I don't know many artists in Norway except the people i've worked with, so our styles
have become very similar to eachother.
Just a matter of time before we start picking up our Banjos and starts duelling . That's what i like about this forum, a way of getting a wider range of new impulses and discussing art with other talented artists,
since it's not everyday we have the chance to go to the US. It would be very nice to meet up with many of you from the forum in person sometime.
As for the folders i made most of them up, but i often study the folders on my own clothing and the people i work with from time to time. It's hard but it really pays off.
Thanks!

You've got so much control Micke, They look really slick.

I've got so much further to go befor I'm anywhere near as good as you.

You pay such attention to the details, like fashon. A lot of people overlook things like clothing, yet it is an integral part of a character. All of these are very different and convincing. Even what would be a civilian or othewise uninteresting character is brought to life.
I've been strugling with character design for ages now, because I always want to make it a super imaginitive, inovative, high-tech-manga-everting-rolled-into-one design. Looking at these has made me think differently about the whole thing.
they have a very convincing air about them, while at the same time being captivating and imaginitive.

Fantastic stuff

X-pLaGue: Yeah i noticed Gonna correct that.
Thanks for letting me know.
Freddio:Most of the characters are done straight down on paper
and finally coloured in PS. It depends alot
when it comes to Referance. If i'm very insecure how a certain thing looks i start looking for pictures, but i rarely copy straight from the pic.Like on the sniper for example i had to find pics of a suit like that in order to make it believable.
Rinaldo:Thanks a lot I try to focus hard to make the clothing as interresting as i can. A good thing is to add things that everybody remembers or seen before, details on shoes, specific trousers or whatever. It makes the design more convincing. Chester a CO-worker here at Innerloop is really a master of that.Too bad he does'nt have a Homepage, so i could show you what i mean.
