Hey, everyone.
Harnish Studios now has a brand-new design. This is only the beta, tho. It will be finalized and live by the end of this week at the latest.

The layout of the site looks ok. The way you have the menu, title, and main info area all boxed off is a pretty standard design for websites now-a-days, which is good.
Only thing I have a beef with is the gradient background. Be careful when useing those, it makes the site complelty look un-aligned, and fouled up colorscheme wise.
My Humble Suggestion is as follows:
Use the same clouds you use in the boxed off areas for the background, darken it a bit, so that it shows through as a supporter, not a dominator. Then, make the boxed in areas BG a single color (like the main info box).
And I've always found it's a great idea to make your title blend in with the background. Basicly just get rid of that big black line.
(NOTE: I've always been against useing Big Black Lines. Big black lines notify the user of boundies and stopping of mental design flow, where as less ovious blocking lines allow a bit more "flow" to the eye of the user. Example? Planetquake.com.)
Other than that, It's a great start.

The overall concept (colors, divisions, etc) of it is quite okay, it navigates and loads quickly and it's probably quite cross-platform as well, but you should pay some more attention to the positioning of elements.
I indicated misaligned elements with white : It would look much more easy to the eye if these were all positioned alongside invisible "rulers" so that there is a consequent line in the design.
The same also goes for the text in the site.
Hope this kinda illustrates what i mean...
Edit : this might be a personal preference, but the cursiveish font doesnt really go well with the square, rigid, layout. Give it a try with Arial perhaps?

I'd have to agree with Duhroach. The box setting is pretty standard which is both good and bad. First up
1) its east to recognize where things are
2) its organized
but...
1)it seems uncreative
2)it damn boring for todays webstandards
Also the color scheme just seems unattractive...sorry..hehe..thats just the way i feel. Blues a nice color, but its over used. Maybe just a plain white background or gray would be cooler. and the font should be simple...no fancy curly crap. That just confuses some people due to my experience.
But still.....cool site! honest! ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Sh4de : didnt mention that specifically (didnt notice, really) but it falls under the alignment-issue. Good observation!
