Well thank you, my Scottish Friend
The shirt, btw, actually will be printed. I made a different backdesign and he liked it. |

I get that question so much, im thinking about writing some tutorials on how i get all these dirty effects. The problem is im afraid for a sudden wave of dirty and old looking design - much like happened with the "rusty interface" hype.
Oh well, maybe im overrating the potential value of dirty schtuff..
Let me give a hint : a scanner. a book. lots of brightness/contrast. layer modes.

*gasp*
Heheheh. It's really simple. Most of the people who bug me about it, though, are people that i know of will start to use it themselves in every damn thing they make so i wont tell.
If you have any questions you can mail me about it... i'd just like to keep it out of the public domain. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Ooh, ooh, like it.
Experimenting with scanners is fun... Too bad it doesn't suit my current stuff too well. I guess I'll need to find a way of incorporating some scans for a change. Maybe for that website I'm supposed to do with a friend of mine...
Did you know you can make a very nice rust by modifying a scan of a dried-up turpentine/acrylic paint mix?

Affected : hell yeah. Kept me from buying a digital camera. The weird bloated effect a scanner gives is much better.
The rust thing kinda passed on me... never really liked it (though i made one rust interface for a CS-squad once - wasnt in it myself).
Mantis : thanks man. Your kind words are appreciated.
