Hey all.
I'd just like to say congrats to Craig Mullins on a great presentation last night. All 3 speakers were very interesting and they each had something different to say. A very inspiring time and I'm glad I made the trip. It was very cool to be able to meet and put a face to some of the people I see posting here all the time. Fred, thanks for all the advice on school WacoMonkey.. I was just flipping through my Photoshop Wow! book for class (required reading) and I caught the section on your "Beneath" image in there. I love seeing people's work outside of the forum.
Anyway, I started this picture right before I went down this weekend... It's maybe a 1/3 of the way through but I'd appreciate any comments. Rip me apart! (I noticed Loki had a similar-themed, and much more detailed, image after I started this.. doh)
I should be posting more soon-this weekend really gave me some motivation to keep working

Oh yeah... that spearish looking thing is temporary.. I didn't want him just standing there like an idiot with nothing in his hands.
And I was thinking of throwing some small people down near the crashed ship... injured survivors maybe. |

The guy close to the viewer could use some more contrast, and the ship would look better with more fogging over to give a better sense of depth. The foot prints on the ground look fake too. The crash site could use some more snow kind of thrown around in large hunks, maybe a slightly longer crater behind the ship too (things that land in snow rarely tend to just "stick" there with anything larger than a small rock).

Thanks for the advice CyberArtist. I made some of the changes you suggested, and they seem to have helped a lot.
Improvement? If anyone else has suggestions, please let me know. Still not finished with this pic. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
